I founded PhoenixGK in 2023 to combine my love of sports and analytics, while helping my son get better at the sport he loves.

My background is in Mechanical Engineering, specializing in carbon reduction. I was a Division 1 Cross Country and Track runner in college, and for as long as I can remember, I have have loved sports and data. I remember growing up pouring through the box scores in the newspaper, or players stats on the back of their cards.

The advent of the data revolution in sports was a turning point. It spurred me to merge my engineering skills with my love for sports. I started writing code to predict player performances across various sports. I was able to turn this into my first self-employment stint in 2016, when I was able to make a living playing Daily Fantasy Sports for a couple years before going back into a "normal" job.

PhoenixGK emerged from this blend of passion and expertise. I believe deeply that in-depth analytics can revolutionize soccer goalkeeping at all levels of the sport, and shouldn't be restricted to just professionals.

I live with my (incredibly supportive) wife Michelle and our two kids in Cary, NC. In my free time you will probably find me trying to stay active, or most likely at a soccer game, theatre performance, or a swim meet with the kids.
