Kenny is a former Division I goalkeeper for Winthrop University. Kenny is from Garner, NC where he returned after college in 2017, and has been coaching keepers in the Triangle Region ever since. He is currently the goalkeeping coach for Carolina Velocity FC.

Kenny remains a high-level keeper, playing in the inaugrial The Soccer Tournament (TST) in 2023 where his team made the round of 16, and Kenny won the Keeper Wars tournament! His team also won the 2023 Copa Mariachi, one of the most competitive semi-professional tournaments in the country.
